From February 2014 to February 2015, 16,400 private-sector jobs were added to the Upstate NY economy; Buffalo led the pack with 9,100 jobs, followed by Albany with 5,300 jobs. The two sectors experiencing the most growth were education and health services, with 1,800 jobs added during that time frame. This influx of high quality service jobs provides a substantial boost for the Upstate NY economy, not only putting more people to work, but boosting job sectors that are less controlled by the government. This trend attests to the fact that the Upstate New York market is a promising destination to reside, invest and finance.
